Joining TKO
Benefits of joining:

- TKO is a family of dojos that strive to uphold the high moral and ethical standards of shotokan karate at all times. We share the same goal to train and teach the best shotokan karate we can.
- You have the opportunities to receive instruction from the best shotokan karate instructors in the world, including direct instruction from Sensei Jo Mirza and Sensei Ray Dalke.
- TKO gives you a channel to invite the world renown instructors and athletes to your dojo for seminars or special ceremonies.
- TKO will broaden your training and heighten your skills as a student and an instructor.
- TKO members are sincere, shotokan karateka, eager to learn and improve and have great dedication to the Art. There is no room for egos.
- TKO offers training seminars, training camps, tournaments, promotion tests.
To join the TKO International family, the candidate dojo should:
- Invite a current member of TKO instructional staff to visit your dojo at your cost. The visit may include observing current classes, teaching a seminar on a variety of topics, and meetings with the candidate dojo's instructors or black belts.
- If there is a mutual interest to continue the relationship, the candidate dojo submits a written letter of intent. If the board agrees that the dojo should join TKOI, the board will reply with in writing.
- The new member dojo pays an annual membership fee.
- There is a 6- to 12 month probationary period for new member dojos. The board will be in communication with the new dojo,for compliance with TKOI principles, training improvements, and belt promotions.
- After the probationary period, the new dojo will have full rights and privileges within the TKOI (voting, etc.)
